Place 1lb of washed potatoes in a slow cooker.

Ideally, place the potatoes on a heatproof dish to prevent the potatoes from touching the sides of the hot crock pot where they may overcook.

Cook from raw on full power for 6 hours (minimum), up to 7 or 8 hours.

Use hot, or allow to cool.

Eat your jackets on their own with any spread or sauce, or use as a side dish with any food.
Try using a slow cooker to cut the cost of baking jacket potatoes at a fraction of the cost of a conventional oven. Enjoy perfectly baked potatoes, which are versatile, easy to store, convenient and reheats well.
